2. Know the major research findings of DBT
3. Understand the implications of the treatment of the high-risk, difficult to treat clients
4. Practice DBT techniques
5. Acquire resources for further training, if desired

1. Help individuals who present with an active eating disorder.
2. Understand the basics of eating disorders: etiology, behavioral/emotional expression, assessment, appropriate intervention and thoughtful referral.
3. Recognize the differences in emotional, personality, and behavioral presentation of various eating disorders
4. Explain how evidence-based treatment is used for eating disorders and self-injury
